报告人简介:
Dr. Hutson has almost 30 years of experience in the field of Branched Chain Amino Acid (BCAA) metabolism. She conducted seminal work describing the interorgan shuttling of BCAA metabolites and role of different organs and tissues in BCAA metabolism in human and animal models. She is experienced with the enzymology, structure of the branched chain aminotransferases, and their protein-protein interactions the enzyme affected in Maple Syrup Urine Disease (MSUD), the branched chain a-keto acid dehydrogenase enzyme complex (BCKDC) and is currently working with a transgenic model of Maple Syrup Disease and role of BCAAs in the brain. Her laboratory is uniquely positioned to conduct the cell studies and interpret the structural and enzymology data.
